About Bottle

Bottle is a compulsive knitter who spends most of her weekends with a bottle or two of wine and a ball or six of yarn. She also attempts to sew and embroider and prattles on endlessly about things she likes and things she would like to do if she could just focus. She uses the words “cute” and “adorable” too frequently, at least in the blogosphere and on the intrawebs because in real life she knows people would punch her or, at the very least, hate her a little bit. She watches too many movies, dreams a little too big and one day plans to make something of herself. Until then, she will continue to cast on for too many projects and buy too much yarn and sigh about how she could have her nails done and continue to be well-read if she hadn’t been infected with knitting.

Hi Jill!
I received your amazing package today! The nice Fed X person left it in a big pot by my front door, and I grabbed it and ran inside. Magic balls are crazy things, huh? They just go on and on and on. Soooo much lovely stuff you sent, I feel really spoiled. It’s obvious how much time and attention you put into the trade, and I really appreciate it. Everything is wonderful, and I especially love the vintage floral magnets, the pink and red twined yarn and the homemade cookies and plushies. Edible glitter????? I had no idea that existed, and you’ll have to give me pointers on the fluff, I’m a bit intimidated by it. I also loved all the hand written notes and the recipe collection–everything, just fabulous, thoughtful and fun items. The tea too, looks fabulous and it’s perfect since I don’t really do caffeine.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, JILL!
I’m posting pics on veganpal2, so everyone can see how lucky I am.

Hi,
I’m vegan and I work at Knit Picks. I just wanted to let you know that we have 5 vegan yarns now-
With the addition of our newest cotton/acrylic blend, Comfy, Knit Picks now offers five cruelty free options for vegan knitters starting at only $1.99. CotLin is a DK weight, Tanguis Cotton/linen blend available in twelve colors for only $2.49. Our Pima cotton/modal blend, Shine, is available in sport and worsted weights. Modal is a bio-based fiber made by spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees into fiber, and it gives the Pima cotton a lustrous quality akin to silk. Shine sport is available in twenty luscious colors like Blush and Hydrangea , and Shine worsted comes in seventeen different hues. Both lines start at only 2.49 a ball. Our fifth cruelty free yarn is our Crayon boucle; it’s 100 percent cotton, DK weight, and available in fourteen yummy colors making it the perfect yarn for kids’ projects or for drapey, soft summer knits.
On average our yarns are priced $4 to $7 lower than yarns with comparable fiber content sold by our competitors so they’re worth checking out.
